Abstract:
Dental students need to immerse his or her patients in clinical and educational visualization. They need to ask the question: " what is the most effective way to present the findings and the alternative treatments to the patient?"
This can be done with a number of diagnostic treatment planning tools at our disposal, such as digital radiography, intraoral cameras, digital photography, smile simulation and interactive dental programs.

The visual modality of communicating dental information to patients raises the case acceptance. The modality used by the student educates him or her in treatment presentations in order to best serve the patients.
As a future dentist, the student has an obligation to learn the techniques available , to provide the patients with the last technology available and to give the patient a thorough understanding of the treatment and it's alternatives.
Our purpose is to illustrate the importance of understanding the power of "visual learning" in dental communication.

The" power of visual learning" in dental communication is demonstrated by a group of students following a number of visits to a dental office equipped with such technology. This illustrates the benefit between student and faculty outside of the university setting in a inter-disciplinary manner. Now that we see the success in treatment planning acceptance, we will implement the visual techniques in the dental school treatment presentations for students to learn and present to patients.
The rewards were unmeasurable for the student's educational value. The patients highly accept the dental treatments proposed due to a better understanding of the treatments and its altenatives.
