Abstract:
The issue of integration of new information technologies into education and, in particular, into the process of teaching foreign languages at secondary schools, is currently relevant. These are not only new technical means but new ways and methods of teaching, modern approach to the process of education. The main goal of teaching foreign languages is formation and development of communicative culture of students and practical use of the language.

The purpose of the article is to identify specific features and possibility of integration of Internet Technologies, Interactive board Padlet in particular, into teaching foreign languages at the secondary level of education. To attain the set aim the following research methods were used: theoretical study and synthesis of scientific and methodological literature and Internet resources related to the research topic; systematic approach during the work with various scientific and practical materials; logical and comparative analysis; functional and situational approach; statistical analysis and pedagogical survey.

Interactive board Padlet is a service available online being a part of the so-called “white boards”, which means that it is an instrument, with the help of which it is possible to organize collaborative work in the frames of a definite virtual world. The teacher has a chance to perform gradual processing of the project benchmarks and to control independent work of the pupils very fast. Every participant of the project can make notes on this virtual board, comment on the work of the project, study the project drafts, add information and correct mistakes.

The article demonstrates the results of the survey about the efficiency of the use of information technologies in teaching a foreign language. The study shows that the use of the board Padlet has effectively influenced on the percent of perceived information that led to more free communication in a foreign language. The majority of students surveyed mentioned it. Besides, the students of the experimental group – the ones who were using Padlet board - showed better results in the tasks of a given test, compared to the students who were not using the board.

The practical importance of the study is that the results can facilitate the choice of information technologies for language teaching lessons.

The survey together with the study have proved that the quality of educational process and its effectiveness depend on the correct organization of the stages of activity working on a project at the lesson. If a teacher is using a special many-functional service, which facilitates the formation and development of different competences of students and expands the possibilities of a lesson, it will lead to more free participation in foreign language communication and more effective process of education.

This study was focused on the secondary stage of education, but further research would provide opportunities for analyzing the use of interactive methods at the high stage of education.
