Abstract:
The study focuses on the analysis of school rules and their determinants as one of the conditions for ensuring a safe school environment in a social and emotional context. As part of the theoretical analysis, attention is focused on the selected soft skills of the teacher as a motivator for students in the application and observance of rules in the school environment. The research analyzes the statements of secondary school teachers, which were obtained through a questionnaire survey. The results of the research identify determinants that influence the acceptance of rules in the educational environment, such as the motivation of students to follow the rules, boredom in class, ignoring the personality of the teacher, the role of the student in the classroom, the participation of students in the creation of rules at school, etc. The conclusions of the study present identified ways to minimize the violation of rules by students, on which it is necessary to focus the didactic work of the teacher. The results of the investigation show that the teacher must focus on the active involvement of students in the creation of rules, formulate the rules in an attractive, experiential and motivating way, present the established rules, and also create and ensure a positive social-emotional climate in the school.
