Abstract:
An important factor influencing the education of children with disabilities, with the consequent possibility of their influence or respect, is a family. With the development of society and rising demands on the education of individuals, it is also necessary to address the relationships between parents and children and to look for places for special educational intervention. A sample of the research was compiled from children with disabilities - hearing, visual and physical disabilities. We also worked with a control group of intact children. The questionnaire was submitted to a total of 440 children aged 10 to 12 from all over the Czech Republic. The sample consisted of 44% of children in intact and 56% of children with special educational needs. The research has produced results describing the parental style of parenting that they perceive with their fathers and mothers, and has shown the minimal differences between understanding the parental style of children with disabilities and intact children. The results contributed not only to broadening the knowledge of this specific group and family relationships, but also helped to find the possibilities of motivation and special pedagogical intervention in its current form.
