Abstract:
Developments in technology are bringing advancements to industrial enterprises, coupled with the integration of smart technologies such as big data analytics, cloud computing, internet of things, artificial intelligence, and especially automation into traditional industrial processes. In the field of automation, the use of collaborative robots or cobots is becoming increasingly progressive. Creating collaborative workplaces where employees work together with cobots requires targeted training for all stakeholders who come into contact with cobots. As cobots become an integral part of industrial processes, education and training programmes need to be developed to equip workers with the skills needed to effectively operate, program and collaborate with cobots, as well as maintain them. Industrial companies benefit from working with educational institutions that offer specialized courses and certifications focused on cobot operation and maintenance. As cobots become more prevalent in industries, higher education institutions also need to adapt their curricula and teaching formats to prepare graduates to work with employees whose work involves human-robot interaction. This paper focuses on an analysis of the opportunities and demands placed on education by cobotization. Keywords:
