Abstract:
The purpose of education in organizations is to ensure that employees have the necessary competencies according the current and future needs of the organization. With the upcoming changes in society, but also changes in the fields of competition, technological progress and others fields, the requirements for employee education are changing, and the priorities of employee education in industrial enterprises are also changing. Education and development is a basic prerequisite for the growth and development of the organization. In certain situations, due to circumstances, the areas of focus that need to be paid attention to, can change. In difficult situations, activities and financial resources must be aimed at stabilization of the organization and ensuring its survival, instead of its development. The aim of the paper is to present the results of research focused on the priorities of sustainable human resource management with an emphasis on education in the context of Industry 4.0. The initiatives associated with the implementation of Industry 4.0 bring an increase in automation, digitization and the transition to the virtual space. These changes require employees to acquire and develop competencies that will enable them to handle the new requirements resulting from the transformation of their work. The paper is therefore focused on how managers perceive the priority of education within other areas of human resource management in the context of Industry 4.0 and changes in the society.
