Abstract:
The word innovation has also come to education. And one might ask, is it still possible to innovate something in the field of education? One possible answer is that the innovation combine all actions that summarize the change that is occurring in our educational system, to name a few: adaptation, renewal, awareness, involvement, revolution, digitization,…

With the creation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), changes that are announced and seek are relevant. Designing and implementing a new educational paradigm implies that they are necessary not only all perspectives, but all innovative proposals. It will be necessary to reduce the use of in-class tasks, as well as enhance the e-learning and the distance courses, in order to "teach to learn", so that students can “learn to learn”, which is cited as a key skill in a recommendation by European Parliament on December 18, 2006, between the eight basic skills for the learning throughout all the life.

In this communication we present the results obtained by attempting to innovate in teaching Linear Algebra at first course of Industrial Engineering, using the platform Moodle, during the academic year 2008-2009. It has been proven that it can improve some of the skills that define the subject, such as acquiring the ability to work independently in guided by the teacher, improve communication skills, and adopt a positive attitude towards learning the subject, being participatory in class and in the working.
