Abstract:
The need to adapt the teachings of the European Higher Education Area has been shown many times, and it is a process widely driven by the European Union. In our case, it is imminent the need to adapt the teachings of the Building Materials to the guidelines issued by the European Higher Education Area, which establishes the European credit system ECTS.

The fundamental change in the subject consists of setting up a model of teaching and learning more focused in student, promoting active learning process, based on continuous assessment and supported in the implementation of new technologies, thus improving the academic performance of the student and decreasing their absenteeism in the classroom.

Therefore, the active methodology which we apply is the integration of students in this model, doing work in teams and individual, both supervised by the teacher. The results have been quantified by evaluation system based on statistical studies that indicate improved success rates and absenteeism as well as increasing the number of passes in the corresponding call.
