Abstract:
An increasing number of students have mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets with internet access and the ability to install applications with different features.

In Chemistry Education area, mobile devices and Apps provide learning experiences and situations which used to be limited, in the past. Facing the opportunities of the wide range and low prices of Apps for smartphones and tablets as well as aiming potencial applications in Chemistry Education, we would like to encourage the adoption of tablets and Apps in teaching and learning.

In order to provide formative experiences in the context of mobile learning and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) using as guiding the methodology of learning projects based on problems undergraduate students of a course in chemistry teacher training were instigated to design learning projects involving this area of knowledge [1].

One of the proposed learning projects will be presented, detailed and discussed in the final article. The theme chosen was the Periodic Table. The proposed learning project involved the creation of conceptual map, the creation of videos, the adoption of games, the creation of a virtual room to share informations and materials, as well as the adoption of some applications for smartphones and tablets with potential for Chemistry Education.
