Abstract:
The adaptation of the current degrees to the new European Higher Education Area (EHEA) represents a significant challenge to the Spanish university since the current teaching/learning methodologies must be strongly modified. Therefore, a significant effort must be carried out in order to develop new teaching materials for both classroom settings and on-line activities.
In the present project a multimedia teaching tool for on-line activities related to the Instrumental Analysis subjects of the Chemistry Bachelor was designed. The computer programme is divided into four different sections: (i) theory; (ii) instrumentation; (iii) methodology and, (iv) applications. All sections include theoretic and practical aspects supported on the use of different resources such as applets, simulations, pictures, schemes and videos. As an example, the materials developed for teaching the Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ICP-AES) technique will be shown.
