Abstract:
Primary school is an important unit in the system of environmental education, which is interpreted as a continuous process of education, upbringing and development of the individual, aimed at the formation of a system of scientific and practical knowledge and skills, value orientations, behavior and activities that ensure a responsible attitude to the natural and social environment and health. The content of environmental education in elementary school is associated with the formation of ideas about a living organism and the relationship of the organism with the environment. According to the content of the subject "The World Around" of the Federal State Educational Standard of General Primary Education, primary schoolchildren learn ecological concepts, including: the diversity of living organisms; connection of plants, animals, fungi, bacteria with the environment; man, as part of wildlife, his habitat, ensuring health and normal life; the use of natural resources in the economic activities of people, pollution of the environment; protection of natural resources.

The article was written on the basis of a sociological study conducted in 2021, the purpose of which was to identify the typical difficulties of parents controlling the extracurricular activities of children while distance learning, and to determine the content, forms and methods of organizing extracurricular activities aimed at implementing environmental education in blended learning.

The relevance of the study is related to the necessity of implementation of effective environmental education in extracurricular activities in conditions of blended learning, which becomes possible only on condition that there is thorough interaction of all its participants.

The main methods and techniques of the study described in the article were the analysis of scientific literature and information resources devoted to the problems of blended learning.

In the sociological study, the method of a questionnaire survey was used. The participants of the survey were the parents of students (grades 1-4) involved in the organization of extracurricular activities of junior schoolchildren in environmental education in conditions of blended learning.

The purpose of the article is to describe the identified typical difficulties of parents controlling the extracurricular activities of children in distance learning, and to determine the content, means of forms and methods of organizing extracurricular activities aimed at implementing environmental education in blended learning formats.

During the research and writing of the article, the following tasks were solved:
1. to identify the difficulties parents of students in grades 1-4 come across when monitoring the extracurricular activities of younger students in conditions of blended learning.
2. to select the content of the course of extracurricular activities of a social orientation "Practical ecology for younger students."
3. to structure and present verbal and electronic resources aimed at the implementation of environmental education in blended learning formats.
4. to systematize and describe methods and forms of organization of environmental education of junior schoolchildren in extracurricular activities.

The theoretical and practical value of the study is in the conclusions, practical developments, methodological recommendations for the implementation of blended learning in the process of organizing environmental education.
