COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF BLENDED LEARNING TOOLS APPLICATIONS IN THE PROCESS OF STUDENTS EDUCATION AND EMPLOYEES TRAINING

Abstract:
The paper presents a comparative summary of different forms of distance learning system users activity in the process of academic learning and the process of professional training. The research was conducted among students of the Faculty of Management at the UTP University of Science and Technology in Bydgoszcz and among participants of preparatory course in regional sport stores. The Analysis of the results is an interesting example of relationship between motivation of the courses participants and profile of offered classes.

In the first part of the paper the role of e-learning and blended learning tools at different levels of education process has been presented. The pace of infrastructure and mobile devices development has been included. Particular attention has been focused to the evolution of distance education concept. In its initial form, due to technological barriers and lack of common internet access, it required the use of desktop computer. Currently with the availability and variety of mobile devices, the use of distance education is not limited by localization. The author noted significant differences between the forms of education and motivation of students which largely contributes to the popularity of applied learning method.

In the second part of the work includes characterization of the e-learning platform that has been launched simultaneously in both education institutions. Particular attention has been paid to the specialist modules, which applied in the appropriate purpose can provide measurable educational outcomes.

The third part of the paper presents an analysis of users activity frequency and provides information on effective forms of knowledge verification that due to the appropriate procedures of learning outcomes assessment procedures application significantly improve the evaluation process.

The current research results allow to conclude that application of hybrid method of teaching is heavily dependent on the form of the classes. The significant factor is to select correct system modules and divide remote learning with regards to the need of direct coach participation in certain part of the course. The opinion of surveyed users about remote forms implementation in the education system is positive. They believe that mobile learning forms streamline the education process.
