Abstract:
There are times in human history when the natural course is disrupted by what can be considered a disaster, so that the classical algorithm existing in a given field somehow loses its usefulness, and the need to adapt to the new situation becomes practically a "Modus vivendi". The last two years (2020-2021) have been dominated by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, which has practically led to strict containment measures and to finding solutions to ensure that the activities of the formative territory are carried out within normal parameters. The Formative Register in the medical sphere is practically a cornerstone of the training of future practitioners in the medical territory, thus identifying a bridge between the elements found in dental medical practice and the virtual environment is an essential solution in order not to lose the educational values so important in medical practice.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the opinion of students in the Faculty of Dentistry in Iasi on the effectiveness of learning methods in a territory with exclusively practical values during the pandemic with the Sars CoV 2 virus.

The instrument for evaluating the effectiveness of the adaptation of the dental medical education system during the lockdown period and afterwards was a questionnaire with targeted questions adapted to the number of cases and the measures adopted at national level.

In such situations, many of the Universities of Medicine and Pharmacy, including the one in Iasi during the periods of the Pandemic Emergency, have gone online through presentations as well as running internships in this manner. Certainly it was a life-saving solution, as the majority of the students’ responses advocated that all these things should be done between a similar manner to the on-site activity, and it was highly agreed that innovative methods such as corroboration of Expert systems with simulation in key areas of dentistry Digital systems practically govern the manner of teaching in contemporary medicine. The aim of these innovative teaching methods should be to ensure that future graduates are optimally integrated into the labor market in a society which is going through a rather complicated period from a socio-economic and medical point of view, so that learning outcomes can be properly quantified.

The hybrid learning option adopted during the state of alert was perceived as an optimal option for these times of crisis so that the practical part is run on site and the courses are run online. The direct contact is the simulation maneuvers and the practical maneuvers to be run on patients were considered ideal for this period, continuing the optimal USB framework for increasing the practical skills indispensable for such a profession. In dental education during the Sars-CoV-2 pandemic, the interaction with expert systems for simulation of clinical variants, followed by case presentations on each clinical entity and the preparation of treatment plans played an important role in the digital approach. The hybrid teaching variant was considered extremely useful for further training at a competitive level in an area where practical skills are essential.
