Abstract:
This research proposes the development of a fivestage Ethical Blended Learning (EBL) Methodology that allows developers of blended learning content to reflect on some of the key ethical questions that should be considered when creating content. Blended learning is typically defined as a combination of computer-based teaching and classroombased teaching, designed in such a way that both modes of teaching complement each other to provide maximum benefit to students. This research will, therefore, examine the specific ethical challenges that emerge when classroom and computerbased teaching are combined in a blended learning approach. This is a crucial consideration, as it is vital for teachers and lecturers to reflect on whether or not they are introducing any novel ethical challenges by deciding to undertake a blended approach, and particularly if new technologies or new teaching approaches are being introduced as part of this transition. To consolidate this research, a five-stage Ethical Blended Learning (BLE) Methodology is developed.
