Abstract:
Interactive multimedia environment has been used in teaching information technologies. Its efficiency for the blended learning has been proven.

The aim of the research is to determine the cognitive styles exhibited by the pupils trained in information technology through multimedia learning environment in order they to be used for improving the environment as adaptive one.

The following methods are used to achieve this goal:
• The concept of adaptive multimedia learning environment has been defined;
• The concept of polar-dependent and polar-independent cognitive styles exhibited by the pupils trained through multimedia learning environment has been defined;
• Indicators for measurement both cognitive styles have been detailed. They are elements of psychological levels of the cognitive act – perception (contemplation), thinking, practice (problem solving);
• Measuring instruments based on indicators have been constructed - a questionnaire and an observation.
In conclusion, the characteristics of pupils trained in information technology and preferring cognitive styles, polar-dependent and polar-independent, have been discussed.
Keywords:
