As representatives of the digital generation, future IT professionals and prospective teachers in computer science should form the ability of dynamic learning and effective interpretation of new information. Therefore, teachers are constantly looking for new methodological approaches and technologies for building non-traditional learning environments to achieve a higher quality of education and to encourage prospective teachers in seeking adequate ways to train their students.

A good solution to this problem is the synergistic application of pedagogical and psychological theories of learning as behaviorism, constructivism and cognitivism in e-learning through the development of a multimedia learning environment.

The following methods have been used to build such a multimedia environment:
1. Determining the needs of digital students in the context of digital methods.
2. Application of psychological and pedagogical theories of learning in the development of a multimedia e-learning environment.
3. Defining the essence of a multimedia environment that performs all the functions of the learning process – to inform, develop and control.
4. Overview of the joint application of the most appropriate copyright resources to create learning objects in a multimedia environment.

Finally, the benefits of learning through a multimedia environment for prospective computer science professional teachers have been discussed.

They may be systematized as follows:
1) satisfying the needs of digital students in the learning process via digital methods;
2) achieving a higher efficiency of the learning process;
3) providing an individual learning pace with support and encouragement via a multimedia environment;
4) optimization of teaching.
