IT degrees’ students commonly have a high failure rate in physics, math and programming areas. So is needed to incorporate new techniques and methodologies to teach this subjects, in order to reduce failure rates. Nowadays students in the Computer Engineering and Computer System programs are having troubles to pass the object oriented programming class. This article shows a scoping review of instructional strategies and information technologies that are successfully used to support the under graduate object oriented programming teaching process. Review was performed using three electronic databases: SCOPUS, ERIC and JSTOR. Searching period is from 01/01/2016 to 12/31/2016. Our preliminary results show main instructional strategies are: blended learning, e-learning, flipped classroom, Computer Based Learning; and the technologies using them are: Podcast, Interactive Whiteboard, Mobile Learning, Virtual Learning Environments.
