Abstract:
The Open CourseWare (OCW) started as an international project to which the University of Murcia has joined. The project consists of publishing free educational resources on the net, and thus these resources can be accessed not only by students and the scientific community but also by anyone who might be interested in them.
The University of Murcia, through the vice-chancellorship of Innovation and Convergence in Europe, has encouraged and supported the development of these free website resources, encouraging the participation of teachers and researchers with support for the publication of educational content of the modules of each degree.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the experience that this project has meant, a project which is halfway between online teaching and face-to-face teaching: the elaboration of the contents hand in hand with the University, the delivery of the lectures supported by the contents published on the Open Course Ware, and getting a series of conclusions on the combined use of face-to-face teaching and on-line teaching.
