Abstract:
The e-books give answer to the necessities of the students of the XXI century. They have remove the protagonism to the printed books that only allow a form of learning: by means of the reading and the understanding exclusively. E-books do not require physical transport but also present many many advantages compared with the conventional ones.
We have elaborated and developed an e-book and we are implementing it in class, having achieved the following advantages: access to all the materials from any support (computer, tablet or smarphone); accessibility and usability at any moment and in any place; a saving of costs, since the cost of the virtual book-platform is from a 70 to 80 per cent cheaper that the conventional one; the e-book presents the format of traditional written text (with page step); it contains videos with explanations of each topic by different instructors, which allow to reproduce and to pause the explanation indefinitely; it contains useful files of presentations that can be seen or discharged; it contains connections (hyperlinks) to external webs to enlarge the information, etc.
The present paper seeks to explain the diverse advantages of the virtual books, but also to propose advices that can be useful for its implementation in the classroom.
