Abstract:
One of the main aims of development of the European Higher Education Area is the promotion of the quality in the universities. This purpose is stated from the importance of satisfying the new demands of the University system and the professor’s necessity of having a model and the corresponding procedures to guarantee the quality of teaching and in the same way to favour its development and recognition.
All the evaluation actions of the teaching staff’s educational practice are oriented to the improvement of the didactic quality of the subjects, we expect this design makes possible to detect the fruitful attitudes as much as the not successful works which teaching can face to. We would like also to point out the necessity of the teaching staff training and the promotion of a guiding culture for the pupils.
The creation and set up of methodologies and evaluative processes oriented to the improvement of the educational quality in terms of effectiveness and efficiency are giving rise to interesting researches and studies developed by the teaching staff of diverse institutions. Our purpose with our work is to join to this commitment.
This poster shows the first version of our assessment model of teaching staff activity design on the subject “Extension of organization and work control” of the degree of technical Architecture in its adaptation European Higher Education Area. The objectives of this designed model of evaluation are:
• To facilitate and support the evaluation of the teaching staff’s educational activity in the University system.
• To have an appropriate evaluation model of the teaching staff’s educational activity for the specific subjects as a necessary informative source for the subject improvement planning
The evaluation of the quality from the resources, processes and results has been traditionally carried out by the institutional evaluation, the University accreditation and University rankings. In spite of these methodologies being positive, we propose in this work the evaluation from the point of view of the users, who contribute with valued information, hardly to access to, by other routes.
The index of satisfaction and perceived quality give account of the needs of the students, their vision of the reality in the classes given, their opinions about the attainment of the proposed objectives and the favourable or unfavourable atmosphere towards their University, towards their degree and with regard to our subject.
In main lines they allow us to know, the main factors which determine the perceived quality levels and satisfaction of the students, to which extent each factor works and which are the consequences of these quality levels perceived and satisfaction in the behaviours, opinions and attitudes of the students towards the subject.
