Abstract:
As part of an ERASMUS+ mission, a group of four teachers sought to assess the impact of the classes taught to CTeSP students at a French high school - lycée des métiers Georges-Frêche - in the city of Montpellier, which has an educational offer of excellence in the following areas: gastronomy, bakery, pastry, hospitality management and tourism. The activities carried out by the teachers presented Portugal, its culture and traditions, through online advertising content, as well as the latest campaigns developed by Turismo de Portugal using social media.

The intervention took place at the beginning of the academic year 2021/2022 with 57 students from the first and second year of CTeSP Tourism, with the objective of analyzing the Portuguese culture disseminating process. Following a quantitative methodology, questionnaire surveys were applied to students, before and after the educational intervention, to assess the knowledge of French students regarding the themes presented by the teachers at this learning event. The application of the same questionnaire at two different times allows comparing what students knew before the intervention and what they learned immediately after.

The analysis of the results obtained by processing the data allows us to assess the adequacy of the intervention and, consequently, adjust or corroborate the strategy for future Erasmus+ interventions. In this way, we evaluated both the effectiveness of the teachers’ intervention and the initiatives presented by different agents in social media promoting tourism in Portugal.
