Abstract:
This paper shares the experience in training through e-learning platform and mixed learning, that is to say face-to-face and e-learning, in training courses for professionals in architecture and construction in areas of Sustainable Architecture, Bioclimatic Architecture and Energy Efficiency. The courses are categorized into the Eco-Transform Project (Proyecto Eco-TRANSFÓRMATE), which contributes to the training of workers in order to promote transformation towards green job skills and to promote the modernization and innovation of activities and services offered. The Greenemploy Program (Programa empleaverde) is an initiative of the Biodiversity Foundation, of the Agriculture, Feeding and Environment Minister, for improving employment and the environment. In exclusive e-learning methodology courses, having as a reference a previous study and based on the course content, the methodology was essentially through e-learning platform, from which the student has been monitored in each phase of the courses, through personal messages, groups, forums and self-assessment test. In developing the course, students had the mentoring of an expert teacher; likewise topics of interest have been discussed in forums where students have participated. At the end of each chapter, self-assessment tests and practice activities issues directly related to the content of each issue have been performed, aided with reference documents provided to students in order to extend the theme of activities. In the courses in which training has been face to face and distance, the reference class with which the course has started has dominated, all with mixed methodology. First in the class the course has been presented by the expert teacher and a brief overview of the current state of environmental design and energy efficiency has been discussed, laying the groundwork for the second phase. This one has been through an e-learning platform, from which a tracking of the student through personal messages, groups, forums and self-assessment test has been taken. In developing the course, students had the expert teacher mentoring; topics of interest in a forum where students have participated have been discussed. Just as the end of the course students have performed a self-assessment test and practiced activities of issues directly related to the course content and supplemental documents provided. It has been observed interest in getting more knowledge and even willing of being experts in both, Sustainable Building, Bioclimatic Architecture and Energy Efficiency and excellent participation with the construction-related professional. Student engagement has been achieved. In conclusion the objectives, content and course methodology have been met. The overall rating of the courses has been excellent. Keywords:
