THE USE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN PRIMARY SCHOOL LESSONS
Children are born and raised in a digital age that is evolving very rapidly, producing important changes in the educational process as well. School education must respond to the needs and desires of today's children, because they were born into a rapidly evolving digital age. Electronic resources, online content and virtual educational offer the latest and diverse information and opportunities for continuing education. The present article aims to identify the opinions of teachers and parents on the efficiency of using digital resources on teaching activities in primary education and the possibility of increasing its efficiency, as well as increasing the involvement of all students in their own learning. The research was conducted on a sample of 243 people, divided into several categories of subjects: 89 teachers, 98 parents and 56 primary school students from several schools in Prahova County, Romania. The following methods and techniques were used to collect the data underlying this research: the experiment performed on a group of preparatory pupils, the questionnaire-based survey and the interview with primary school teachers and parents. As results of our research, we can mention that the use of digital resources in primary school teaching activities is a useful form of learning, consolidating and verifying knowledge that stimulates imagination, interest, curiosity and contributes to increasing students' self-confidence. The presence of new technologies in the primary education process facilitates the practice of teaching in various and pleasant forms leading to quality school performance.
