Abstract:
In order for the didactic activity to benefit from an approach that guarantees the success, a special care must be given to the design of the training and evaluation. This is much more important when it comes to online evaluation. The approach of the online evaluation to the Romanian language and literature discipline in the secondary school implies the involvement of the digital technology in the educational process. This can facilitate more personalized, flexible and student-centered learning at all stages of education and training. Used properly, online technology can be a powerful and engaging tool for collaborative and creative learning. This aticle describes a research regarding the online assessment at secondary schools in the Romanian language and literature. The research was conducted on a sample of 229 people, divided into two categories of subjects: 46 teachers and 183 pupils from several schools in Prahova County, Romania. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were used to collect the data, and the questionnaire-based survey and interview addressed to both teachers and pupils. By processing and interpreting the data obtained, we could deduce that the use of digital resources in the evaluation process at the gymnasium is an excellent means of consolidating and verifying students' knowledge. Online educational tools contribute to the development of pupils' digital skills, increasing the attractiveness of the educational process. In the context of the global crisis generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, the evaluation act has undergone major changes, moving from the traditional approach to a modern online approach. Our research show that the modern online approach depends on the degree of involvement and accessibility of teachers and pupils in using effective digital methods and techniques for the integration of evaluative actions in the Romanian language and literature.
