Abstract:
This paper discusses the employment of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques specifically within contemporary school settings to enhance student engagement and well-being. Drawing from major elements of CBT—cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, mindfulness, problem-solving, and social skills training—this research provides a practical, clinical psychology framework for schools to better meet the psychological and academic needs of students. This paper identifies several actionable strategies for schools, including goal setting, positive reinforcement, stress management programs, and fostering a supportive environment. Through detailed case studies, it demonstrate how these CBT interventions have a direct and positive impact on academic performance, social skills, and emotional well-being. The paper also highlights the critical role of educator training and collaboration with mental health professionals in implementing this comprehensive approach. This clinical psychology model offers a sustainable way to cultivate a positive and resilient school culture, addressing both psychological and academic needs holistically.
