Abstract:
This study explores the effectiveness of integrating gamification and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) strategies in educational settings to enhance students' nutritional and physical activity behaviors. Drawing from a systematic review of 35 peer-reviewed studies, conducted following PRISMA guidelines, the research examines how game elements such as points, levels, and rewards can motivate students to adopt healthier habits and engage with CBT techniques. The PRISMA methodology ensured a rigorous and transparent review process, with studies sourced from databases like PsycINFO, Scopus, PubMed, and Elsevier. The review reveals significant improvements in student behaviors, with a 25% increase in physical activity and a 20% improvement in nutritional choices among those exposed to gamified programs. Additionally, the integration of CBT techniques was associated with reduced anxiety and stress, contributing to better mental well-being. The findings demonstrate that combining gamification with CBT can promote healthier lifestyles and improve mental health in educational environments. Given the widespread appeal of electronic games, these results support the broader adoption of gamified interventions to create a positive, resilient learning environment that engages students in health-promoting behaviors. Keywords:
