Abstract:
The implementation of the new curricula in the schools of architecture in Spain has led to the application of new teaching methodologies. These seek to adapt to the new generations of students, with the main objective of allowing them to better understand and apprehend the basic concepts of architecture. In particular, the constructive and structural aspects of a building are usually studied in an isolated or independent way but in reality, they are intimately related. The proposal of this research consists of creating learning objects in three and four dimensions with the computer tools that our students are used to handle, as well as using university platforms (Sakai, Moodle...) to synchronize teaching and learning. Starting from a building recently constructed by architects of recognized prestige, a detailed study and critical analysis of the structural calculation and the present construction technology applicable to them is carried out based on the following guidelines:
(a) Interrelation between the architectural project and the final construction design;
(b) Influence and dependence of the construction process on the solutions adopted;
(c) Influence of the structural calculation and the dimensioning of the structure on the design of the construction detail;
(d) Proposal and technical evaluation of various alternatives.Keywords:
