Abstract:
Collaborative Social Learning can be described as the act of learning by helping and with the help of others. Collaborative Social Learning can take place either in real life or online. Online Collaborative Social Learning can happen using various methods such as specific platforms or social media themselves.

Collaborative Social Learning is also widely adopted in business nowadays, but a lot of people outside the business environment use it also. One of the most effective uses of Online Collaborative Social Learning is for Foreign Languages. Foreign language learning is always easier when another person is involved not only because of the practicing that it is involved, but also due to the fact that each user helps the other with their insights.

This paper will try to shed light on the existing Online Collaborative Social Learning methods that exist online and they have foreign languages as a focus. It will evaluate the most popular and it will make a prototype online environment based on these observations.

For instance, a system might use real time collaboration but it might not have very good grammar analysis, while another might be more static when it comes to the real time conversations but it might have a great way of grammar presentation. In this case, the prototype will combine the chat feature along with the enhanced grammar feature.

The websites that will be chosen for the analysis will be the most popular regarding their user base and their traffic. The prototype will be made using usability evaluating methods and image editing software.
