The purpose of this research is answering this question that is there any relation between self-esteem and Self - Monitoring of students with their education improvement. The statistical society of this research is all of the male and female students of guidance schools in Rasht who were studying at 2007-2008. After examining both the precedence of previous researches and the theories of Self-Monitoring, the two questionnaires were used in this research; Cooper Smith questionnaire that was used for measuring the self-steem of students and Snyder and Gangestad questionnaire for measuring the Self-Monitoring of them. These two questionnaires were distributed among the 380 persons of guidance schools students. Students were selected with the use of cluster Random sampling method. After completing and taxing the questionnaire and the giving marks to the tests, regarding to the descriptive tables it is specified that the average of Self-Monitoring is 11, and since the achieved number could be gained between 0 and 18:80 the obtained average is higher than the middle level Self - Monitoring, and also the descriptive tables of self-esteem should that the average of self-esteem is 31.48 and since the achieved number could be gained between 0 and 50, so the obtained average is higher than the middle level of self-esteem mark. Therefore the students of this statistical community are in a suitable self-esteem condition, and also regarding to the descriptive tables of students educational improvement that are extracted from their average, it could be observed that this average is 17.91 which states that the educational empowerment of students is appropriate. The Reliability coefficient of self-esteem test which is consisted of 50 questions is (0.842) and for Self-Monitoring test is (0.779) that are calculated with the use of (Alpha Cronbach) Method. In order to data analyzing in this research, Pierson Correlation Coefficient test has been used for the first and second hypothesis and Independent T-test has been used for the third and forth ones. Finally the results should that:
