Abstract:
In this paper we present several serious games that can be used in cultural heritage education, which present traditional Bulgarian embroidery patterns. The article describes the goals and conceptual model of the games, along with the individual specifics of each kind of game - Pattern Sequence, Missing Piece and Part Arrangement games. The games developed provide opportunities for building interactive educational resources that stimulate cognitive development and shape cultural identity in the modern educational environment. Cultural and historical resources are a necessary element for participating in and developing national identity and patriotism. Adding gamification elements to user experience has many advantages, such as increasing interaction, motivation to learn, memorization, and creativity, as well as providing a safe learning environment. Interactive user activities and visual elements are necessary for a better understanding and immersion in the world of cultural heritage and history education.
