Abstract:
The "Accessible Digital EDUcation (ADEDU)" project, co-funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) under the Erasmus+ Programme, is a 30-month initiative aimed at enhancing digital education accessibility. The consortium comprises five (5) partners from three (3) European countries, each contributing unique expertise to ensure successful international implementation. ADEDU's primary objective is to support educators, trainers, and learning centers in upskilling and innovating their offerings to include individuals affected by learning disabilities, thereby facilitating digital transition and promoting inclusion. Participants will benefit from tailored outputs, including a Training Course, Capacity-building activities for peer learning and networking, and Guidelines on Inclusive communication and digital learning environments, to foster innovation and inclusion at all educational levels. The project is structured into four interconnected Work Packages (WPs) implemented throughout its lifespan. Over its duration, ADEDU aims to develop twelve (12) deliverables, encompassing guidelines, digital tools, and reports. The project plans to engage at least six hundred (600) educators from a minimum of ten (10) European countries in training activities and involve at least one hundred (100) organizations and learning centers in capacity-building endeavors. This paper describes the aim, structure, and expected results of the ADEDU project, focusing on the foundational elements of WP2: Learning Disability Mapping, Guidelines, and Training Development, led by the Hellenic Open University. Keywords:
