Abstract:
The international Glocal, Erasmus+ project was implemented for 40 months in 2019-2022. The main tasks were related to summer schools realised in Bialystok (Poland), Klaipeda (Lithuania) and Madrid (Spain) [1]. Its implementation coincided with the difficult time of the Covid-19 pandemic, the outbreak of war in Ukraine and problems with refugees on PolishBelarusian border. Students of various engineering faculties of Bialystok University of Technology, Universidad Politecnica de Madrid and Klaipedos Valstybine Kolegija took part in those summer schools [2]. The aim of this work is the presentation of evolution of students assessment related to results of summer schools. International and interdisciplinary activities served to increase the technical and social competences of the participants. The opinions of students and teachers collected during the implementation of the school, at its completion and a year after completion were analysed. They indicate the evolution of students’ assessment and reflective look at the results achieved over a period of one year. They confirm the development of soft skills in the field of cooperation in a multi-industry team and the increase in self-esteem, which translated into various activities of students after the end of the summer school: participation in international competitions, conferences, exhibitions, preparing diploma thesis related to Glocal experience, knowledge and skills [3].
