Abstract:
The use of ICTs in the FL classroom is a current, increasing trend and the Internet resources for language teaching and learning have become an essential tool for teachers and students. Nevertheless, not everything in the net may be useful for specific students’ needs. Sometimes the available information is so huge that learners get disoriented.

When using the Internet for language teaching, we must be selective integrating the activities into the course curriculum and appropriate content, and providing an effective tool to teach what students want and need to learn, as well as guiding them through the net.
Our aim in this paper is to present, analyse and asses the websites of some countries’ Tourist Authorities as a source of useful material for students of Tourism to get real and updated information to be applied in some specific tasks. Such tasks will be part of the students’ syllabus and will help students to practise the specific language of Tourism in some of their future professional contexts taking into account the development of the four language skills. Apart from the use of authenticable material, these activities will provide alternative texts to the ones students have in the books they use in class.
