Abstract:
Considering that online learning environments are recent tools, when compared to traditional teaching & learning methodologies, the necessary redesign of learning spaces turns out to be unavoidable. Reorganized learning spaces enable learning based on smart-rooms and objective-based learning, leading to dedicated instructional design and related E-strategies to develop new teaching and learning processes.

Previously unknown paradigms for all aspects of learning, like online access to universal knowledge as well as online learning systems and platforms, are now available to all those wishing to undergo formal or non-formal learning processes. To such end, these online resources can be successfully blended with classroom-based learning to improve the students’ learning experiences and outcomes.

In order to understand the potential of such tools and resources in the Higher Education of engineering students, different nationality engineering teachers collaboratively carried-out a common project on the use of Online Learning Environment Tools in Higher Education and combined their contributions on the integration of such online tools in Engineering Courses.
