Abstract:
Moodle is an Open Source Course Management System (CMS), also known as a Learning Management System (LMS) or a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). It has become very popular among educators around the world as a tool for creating online dynamic web sites for their students. (moodle, 2009). Professors of Soil Science Department of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) have used Moodle to teach study of soils since 2002. This subject is focused on soil formation, soil components and soil management. The objective of this work is to give a global vision of the evolution of the subject taking into account that it was one of the first subject by LMS in the UPM
