Abstract:
The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is an aspect of great importance in higher education, both nationally and internationally, since these represent a support to improve the current conditions of interaction between teacher and student. This research analyzes the ICT competences of teachers of higher education in Sinaloa, making an exploration of the real use of these competences applied in their professional work. Its objectives are to define what ICT skills teachers have and their application. In order to define the theoretical framework that underlies the work, we analyzed the role of the teacher at present, his / her competences and the ICT in terms of its conceptualization, presence and characteristics. The methodology used in this research is of the quantitative type, as an approach to describe the uses that teachers make of the technologies in their teaching work and with a qualitative bias for the analysis of the collected data and a competent application of the same ones.
