Abstract:
After implementation of the new undergraduate studies in Spanish University, the process of adapting our university system to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) is completed. This paper presents the design and implementation of the optional subject called "Information Systems" co- teaching with the degree of Bachelor in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Cantabria. On that subject teachers’ work is to guide the students in the tasks of assessment, design, development and implementation of information systems in companies with strong presence in internet, supported by a relational database management system (RDBMS). We present a teaching innovation initiative, which aims to promote collaborative learning and student autonomy that is provided with the necessary tools to carry out this objective, with the added difficulty of having students from two different degrees.
