Abstract:
This study is to determine the willingness of students from the Technological University of Banderas Bay (UTBB) to study subjects online and to know who has had previous experience in the utilization of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

This work is a descriptive and exploratory study, and it was conducted during the months of February and March of 2012 and was focused on student population of all the careers and degrees offered at UTBB; the sample size to be surveyed was determined by a statistical formula and students were selected at random.

The results of such survey show a positive tendency in most of the students in three of the six careers that are taught at the Institution, while in the other careers the responses varied. Although 58% of the students have an age between 17 to 20 years, they showed a moderate to high skill in the use of ICT which indicates the possibility of implementing online courses.
