Abstract:
In the current knowledge society the role of applicable statistical methods is strategic. Thus, a general and practical vision for the teaching of statistical methods is presented, with the aim of providing students with the concepts and tools that facilitate a deeper immersion in this field.

Students will familiarize themselves with the basics and they will have access to its use through a study with real data of SABI database. These materials are required to support statistical research activities. In addition, we intend to foster student’s curiosity and enthusiasm for this area.

The study introduced in this paper is intended for creating and developing on applications, which help us communicate knowledge with a great saving of time. Specifically, it is introduced to students, from the University of Almeria (Spain) enrolled in the subject of Statistics that I teach.

We create educational materials to simplify the learning process of the applicable statistical methods. Consequently, we make known a serious statistical research about financial, economic and social features the football team from our city. It is a topic of interest for the students and captures their attention. The content is engaging and interactive with powerful computer tools immediately accessible to the students. Finally, the most important conclusions will be exposed and will help to guide future activities aimed at developing new reports.

Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) is the software used for statistical analysis of this practical experience. The theoretical and practical understanding is analysed and developed for pupils with the PowerPoint program.
