Abstract:
The COVID 19 pandemic has forced the introduction of teaching-learning strategies that help to capture the attention and interest of students who follow the classes in a remote way.

One of the tools that can be used are real-time questionnaires carried out via computer or smart-phone, which provide instant feedback to the teacher and the student on the level of understanding of the knowledge being presented, help the teachers to reorient their class and reinforce those aspects that require it.

Socrative is a free online tool that allows the realization of surveys, and also to program it providing or not the correct answer immediately, allowing to give instant feedback to the student through a brief explanation, or giving the percentage of correct answers obtained at the end of it.

In the 20-21 academic year, this innovation was introduced in the course of Industrial Processes of Chemical Engineering of the Chemical Engineering Degree of the UPV for the initial diagnostic evaluation at the beginning of the course, being extended in the 21-22 academic year also to a student self-evaluation at the end of each didactic unit. This paper explains the innovation introduced, as well as the results obtained after its implementation and its impact on the exam grade compared to the previous academic year.

The conclusions of this work will serve to improve its implementation in the subject in subsequent courses as well as its transfer to other subjects in which obtaining such feedback would be beneficial for both the teacher and the student.
