Abstract:
Inspiring Science Education is a pan-European project bringing together partners in 15 countries in order to find solutions for making science education more challenging, more playful and above all more imaginative and inspiring for today’s students, the citizens of tomorrow’s world.

The paper intend to share the results obtained in Romania under the frame of this research project: 694 ISE pilot schools, over 700 teachers and 600 students actively engaged in ISE activities in Romania.

We organized 8 Training and demonstration workshops - “Inspiring Science Lessons - Big ideas of Science in interdisciplinary approaches” (February - March 2016), 6 Training and demonstration workshops “Inspiring Science Experimental Approaches” (April -June 2016), - 2 Summative workshops ”Sharing Inspiring Science Experiences”( May -June 2016), 8 Regional Inspiring Science Festivals (April -June 2016) and The National Inspiring Science Education Conference in Romania held simultaneously with The National Inspiring Science Experimental Projects Contest in June 2016.

We intend to share the experience in what concerned some aspects of Inquiry-based Science Learning as an appropriate method for creating intrinsic motivation of students.
