Abstract:
Universities, centres of higher education in Spain suffer from agility and flexibility when facing changes. A need for improvement is demanded by the market (Rodríguez, 1995). STEM Education includes degrees as Engineers and Architects whose main contents are related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Nowadays the industry and construction sectors are involved in the 4th revolution thanks to all information and communication technology solutions. Innovation and creativity are just some new skills required for future professionals in these markets. On the other side, the study programs are reviewed at least every 3 years. The degrees revision is carried on by the National Accreditation Agency and their final reports can recommend but is a University responsibility to implement new teaching methodologies and new contents.

Degree managers need continuous market analyses to attend possible new professional trends. The monitoring process will not be an easy task if resources are not available. Therefore, procedures are needed to collect and data analyses. Graphics information could help academic managers to make the right decisions when facing a study program revision.

The digitization is breaking through administrative University process. It is needed to introduce new technologies to collect data automatically and to predict further scenarios.

This communication will analyze the case study of Technical Architecture at the Universitat Jaume I; A professional degree from the STEM area, that needs a deep revision after been 10 years period of crisis in the construction sector.

The conclusions will identify the sources of information to analyse, the data to collect and the ICT (information and communication technologies) to be applied. It will also define who and when will make reports to focus on current and future professional abilities.
