Abstract:
Integral formation helps students acquire not only academic competences but also professional and emotional ones. This leads the individual to reach a full development and prepares him for lifelong learning. Traditionally, university education has covered a wide range of conceptual information, not focusing on important factors such as affective values. However, the University as institution is responsible for providing the student a set of moral and ethical values and moreover, inculcates a positive attitude to life. These aspects were aimed in the present work.

The experience was carried out throughout an academic trimester, using several videos as a tool for working items related to emotional intelligence. The activity was planned with the purpose of being a source of inspiration, reflexion and contribution to the student’s integral formation.

A total of 6 videos available on the internet were selected for their content related to emotional intelligence. These videos were shown in class and further discussion among the students was moderated by the lecturer. Finally, the students assessed the activity by means of a questionnaire.
From the results of this experience, the importance that students give to integral formation was evidenced.
