Abstract:
Authors of numerous publications in the field of social pedagogy note that more than 25% of students of higher technical educational institutions, after they successfully passed the difficult entrance examination feel powerless suddenly and they have difficulties during the educational process. They note that young people experience negative emotions quite often, the origin of which they do not understand. The excess of negative emotions leads to stress, to low psychological compatibility and, ultimately, to the loss of the ability to learn.
The ability to withstand outdoor conditions depends on many factors, including the social health of the individual person; therefore, the formation of a high level of readiness to effectively work in higher educational institutions is one of the most important educational tasks. Authors of this paper propose a system of psycho-social support for students.
The complexity of the classical system of research and support in engineering university is as follows: the unwillingness of most students to openly discuss their psychological problems, lack of time due to the educational duties of the students. To solve these problems the social network tool is used: artificial conversational entity.
To create an effective automated system authors used the traditional methods of psychological diagnostics research (questionnaires, tests, etc.) that were applied to students of the University.
The article describes the main features and working principle of chatbot (artificial conversational entity), also cited statistics showing positive results of implementation.
Thanks to the implementation of this automated chat-bot system the University not only takes part in the formation of a healthy personality and student support; it collects important statistical data, but it is doing it with the lowest costs.
