INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION IN ENGLISH FOR TOURISM: EFFECTIVE PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE OF MULTIPLE TASKS WITHIN THE TOURISM SECTOR

Abstract:
The article presents an analytical review of the role of tourism in the development and strengthening of the cultural fund of various countries, as well as in deepening the spiritual and moral values of mankind. Tourism helps to get acquainted with the material and spiritual objects of culture and affects the spiritual sphere of a person and social behavior in the world. The article reveals the importance of intercultural communication for international tourism activities, and describes the methods of mastering professional vocabulary in English.
The purpose of this study is to determine the methods of presentation and introduction of new lexical material in English classes, as well as to identify the skills that form the intercultural competence of a specialist in the field of tourism and his professional readiness to independently search for ways and methods of intercultural dialogues.
Methodology:
The methodological basis of the study is a systematic approach and theoretical methods for researching scientific literature in the field of education of tourism specialists, as well as testing methods for mastering professional vocabulary in foreign language classes. To collect theoretical data, we used an analysis of the cultural aspect of foreign and Russian experience in organizing various types of tourism, an analysis of innovative materials in the field of tourism with an emphasis on training tourism professionals with knowledge of foreign languages. Implementation of the methods for mastering professional vocabulary was carried out within the framework of the disciplines "Foreign language (practical)", "Business communication in a professional environment", "Foreign language in communicative practices", "Foreign language of business and professional communication" and "Academic communication".
Results:
The study updates the content of the education of tourism specialists, taking into account the most interesting and significant innovative areas in the field of tourism, with an emphasis on local traditions and customs. The role of professional communication in English for specialists working in the field of tourism has been revealed. The methods of mastering professional vocabulary, within the framework of the disciplines of studying foreign languages, are determined. The research journals in tourism, covering the issues of innovations in hospitality technologies, management and staff training, are analyzed.
Conclusion:
The results of the study allow us to conclude that the ability and readiness of tourism and hospitality specialists to create conditions for interaction and mutual understanding between people of different countries and their cultural heritage is necessary. For successful and effective communication, the strengthening of the role of foreign languages in the curricula of higher educational institutions in the training of specialists in this area is emphasized.Keywords:
