Abstract:
In this paper we describe and analyse the curricula adaptation of the course Artistic Expression I at the Industrial Design Engineering at the Universitat Jaume I to the European credits (ECTS).
To carry out this adaptation was first estimated the workload for students and defined the non-classroom activities that they had to do. Additionally to this process of adaptation is also necessary to study and analyse in depth the skills that are most relevant and that students should acquire. Our new curricula adapted to ECTS permit students to learn the professional skills needed to work. It is necessary to achieve these objectives redirect tutoring, employing new technologies (web pages, online tutorials, etc..) And new methodologies in teaching.
For new teaching methodologies used in this course, we see generally a decrease in masterly lecture and an increase of more active and participative methodologies (seminars and autonomous student work).
The new European Higher Education Area (EHEA) must move from learning processes focus on master-class teaching to other centred in student learning to generate a culture that enables learning throughout life, considering the mobility of both teachers and students as a fundamental value. Keywords:
