Abstract:
The aim of the paper is to present the pedagogical transformative drama for children – its description as well as the way of using of it in the systematic learning during the weekly class meeting. The pedagogical transformative drama for children allows to explore drama and theatre in the methods of teaching. The paper focuses on the issue of influences drama (tragedy/drama therapy) in the process of shaping the identity of pupils and creating the system of value of pupils. The pedagogical transformative drama is divided into the youth pedagogical transformative drama and the children pedagogical transformative drama. I talk over the methods of using the pedagogical transformative drama in schools as well, which can be divided into passive (linked with passive kind of bibliotherapy) and active one (linked with active way of bibliotherapy and theatre therapy). The pedagogical transformative drama for children is a kind of dramatic fairy tale. It fulfills the function of didactic as well as therapeutic in the frame of therapy through drama and fairy tale. It allows children to make aware of the reason and effect of their behaviors and choices and min characters’ behaviors and choices. It allows them to have a high self-esteem, to accustom with some difficulties. Dramas-fairy tale tells about dreams, which have as positive as negative influence and make a possible to change the world, about choices, skills, ability of oppose of wrong suggestion of group/class, about making good, overcoming sadness etc. In order to define the new category of drama (tragedy) – the pedagogical transformative drama (called pedagogical therapeutic drama as well) it is good to reference the ready definition of therapy through tragedy, theatre therapy or literature therapy. Pedagogical transformative drama is the text dealing with the personal and identical development. It presents concrete, real problems. The drama fulfills the function of announcement and meeting with the reader. Its aim there is to establish the dialog with the reader and to encourage him to the process of interpreting the text. So the text of the drama poses observations and experiences’ area and provokes the reader to express his opinion and emotion stimulated by drama as well as to discuss the attitude and choices of dramatis personae. Readers of drama can be the people needed pedagogical and psychological support in the field of social attitude, self-realization, achievement of emotional maturity and self-knowledge. The reception of the pedagogical transformative drama relies on internal engaged in reading process which leads to transformation of the identity. The pedagogical transformative drama seems to be ideal in working with children. It is not authoritative imposing of methods of learning, it does not give the ready patterns but it introduces a pupil to talk, dialog and it gives him the ability to tell by himself.The pedagogical transformative drama stimulates the personal development and it makes possible to transform the identity. It is always adapted to the age group of pupils. The pedagogical transformative drama can be used in systematic teaching in few ways. It is important to change the method of working with people. the aim fo the paper is to present the idea of the pedagogical transformative drama for children, to analyze dramas of Polish palywright Agnieszka Kusza as well as methods of using this kind of drama.
