Abstract:
In the academic year 2010-2011, it began to be taught in the EPS of the University of Burgos, the Degree in Building Engineering Degree now called Technical Architecture.

Fundamentals of Materials is taught in the first semester and belongs to the module of Chemistry and Geology. It is a basic training subject with 6 ECTS credits.
In this academic year, Fundamentals of Materials teachers aim to stabilize the subject, reaching the same quality Course Construction Materials I of the previous title of Technical Architecture.

In the new subject we modify our teaching methods and assessment, with the development of new teaching materials for student use.
To know the opinion of the students about new methods and new evaluation of their skills acquired, a survey that has been passed every year by the end of the semester, when students already know their academics results.

The results were evaluated every year and the outcomes of the data provided by the students in different courses were compared.
When the results were negative, changes in the education system were introduced in order to improve it.

The survey of 12 questions affects aspects such as:
• The teacher preparation and dedication.
• The teacher way to lead the lessons.
• The quality of the teaching materials that students can use.
• The adequacy of the level required in assessing and the level taught.
• The academic results of the student.

The undergraduate can answer in five levels of satisfaction. The evaluation of the assessment is done scoring from 1 to 5 depending on: 1: Unsatisfactory; 2: Poor; 3: Average; 4: Good; 5: Excellent.

With the statistics obtained, we analyze the satisfaction in each question in academic years 2010-2011, 2011-2012, 2012-2013 and 2013-2014, making an effort in the results with a lower acceptance by students.

Then, the outcome of both years is compared with the intention to determinate the evolution and the level of satisfaction achieved.
