The More Doctors (Mais Médicos) Program is part of a broad pact to improve service to users of the National Health System, which provides more investment in hospitals’ infrastructure and health care facilities, in addition to bring more doctors to areas where there are shortages and lack of professionals.

UNA-SUS is a program developed by the Office of Labor Management and Health Education (SGTES) establishing conditions for the operation of a collaborative network of academic institutions, health services and NHS (SUS) management, designed to meet the training needs and continuing education of NHS (SUS). The design and implementation of the program is interfederative.

This network operates through the exchange of experiences, sharing of instructional material, cooperation in order to development and implementation of new educational technologies in health, shared network hoc support to the learning process in service and exchange of academic information for the students for shared educational accreditation.

That way it is possible to take, to each health worker, learning opportunities such as self-instructional material, free tutorials and updates, training courses, specialization and even professional master. The use of distance education techniques minimizes the need for relocation of the workers’ city or area.
