Abstract:
Citizens how we communicate, we access and use information, we create knowledge and cultural gadgets is a challenge for schools and modern societies.

The use which is made of technologies and, in particular, of social networks nowadays is massive among the population of all ages and at all levels (political, economic, labour, social, cultural,..). Education professionals must, firstly, facilitate students be competent in their use, and, secondly, assess its application during the teaching and learning process.

Insisting on the responsible use of social networks within and outside school implies the knowledge of virtues, limitations and dangers that can be associated with their use. Educating in this area means reducing all threats increasing at the same time their strengths and opportunities for personal and professional development.
